In the desire to combat chronic Food Insecurity and Boost livelihood in the communities in South Sidan, Humanity For All Organization operates to reduce acute food insecurity and save lives of vulnerable people in communities, Protect, Restore, and Improve household food and livelihoods secuirty, restore, and promote Sustainable Natural Resources Management (NRM) by vulnerable communities and in vulnerable ecosystem. This is yet rooted on strengthening straight coordination of interventions, improving capacity of individuals and group of farmers, emergency preparedness and effective response to FSL aspects of disasters & conflicts.
Humanity For All Organization engaged with farmers in Rajaf Payam of Juba County, Central Equatoria state in discussion regarding Agricultural activities in the area. The discussion aimed at finding out farmers practice in the area, the challenges faaced by the farmers, type of crops that the farmers are producing in the area and how the Humanity For All Organization can act to improve on productions to fight food insecurity in the area.
The Humanity For All Organization involved area leaders in the activity and formed farmer groups such as the Pajumugum farmers, Luggit farmers and Nyota farmers with each group under the leadership of a chair person. Women were actively involved and as a result a seperate women group was formed.
Humanity For All Organization was able to find the loopholes in agricultural activities in the area and had put in place measures to bridge the gaps. HAO will conduct similar research in other states of South Sudan extensively and implement everlasting solutions to improve on food security and livelihoods in the country.
